‘Hungry For Laughs Comedy Tour’ puts on comedy for a cause

PRINCE GEORGE – The dust will be swept off the seats, and the stage at the PG Playhouse this weekend as entertainment gets back into full swing.

The list of upcoming shows and people set to take the stage continues to grow as many get hungry to get back after a pandemic that forced a multi-year hiatus.

One of those shows will be the Hungry For Laughs Comedy Tour set to take the stage this Saturday featuring a homecoming for comedian Alex Mackenzie.

Mackenzie said he is beyond excited to be back in Prince George after waiting throughout the pandemic to headline a major show in the place his dream of being a comedian was born.

The demand has been well above what Mackenzie was expecting, the first show planned was sold out fairly quickly which allowed a second show on Saturday to be planned which is also now close to being sold out.

In addition to a comedy show featuring several international talents, the show is raising donations for the Salvation Army with a goal of $5000.

On Friday afternoon Mackenzie said they were above the $3000 mark.
