Sunday morning crash on Highway 97 South claims two lives

PRINCE GEORGE — Two people were killed in a two-vehicle crash just south of Prince George early Sunday morning.

North District RCMP Cpl. Madonna Saunderson confirms it happened just before 1 a.m. in the Buckhorn area.

The name of the deceased individuals have not been released and as CKPG reported yesterday, at least one other person was sent to hospital.

The crash closed the highway in both directions for several hours as investigators combed the scene.
