Homicide investigation underway following shooting on Spruce street

PRINCE GEORGE – Prince George RCMP Serious Crimes Unit is investigating a homicide from Sunday night.

Police responded to reports of gunshots heard on the 1800 block of Spruce Street just after 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 27, 2022. When officers arrived they found a man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The officers provided aid the individual until Ambulance Services arrived to transport the male to hospital.

RCMP says the shooting was targeted and does not believe that there is an increased risk to the general public.

The victim did not survive his injuries. Investigators are asking anyone with information, video surveillance or dashcam footage between 8:00-8:30 p.m. Sunday night in the area to contact police by calling 250-561-3300. Please quote file number 2022-10213
