B.C. passes 3,000 COVID-19 deaths

VICTORIA—British Columbia has surpassed the grim milestone of 3,000 deaths since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

The Ministry of Health reported in today’s update that four more people have died from COVID in the past 24 hours. None from the northern zone. 357 new cases have been reported by the province.

Hospitalizations declined to 274 and Individuals in ICU dropped to 35.

Of eligible people over the age of 12, 93.8% have received their first dose, 91.5% have received a second dose and 59.3% received their booster shot.

Nine healthcare facilities are currently dealing with outbreaks, none of which are in the Northern Health region.
