Bear spray incident forces evacuation of Hammond Towers

PRINCE GEORGE — Update: Residents of Hammond Towers have been allowed back in the building. The RCMP haven’t released details on the circumstances regarding this morning’s evacuation.
Earlier: Hammond Towers on the 1800 block of 3rd Avenue has been evacuated due to an apparent bear spray incident.
An occupant of the building told CKPG News it happened this morning, forcing the evacuation. Dozens of tenants could be seen milling around outside as first responders arrived on scene.
The RCMP have only confirmed so far that tenants on the 8th and 11th floors have reported difficulty breathing.
