RCMP identifies person of interest in sex assault case

PRINCE GEORGE—Prince George RCMP is seeking the public’s help in locating a person of interest identified through video surveillance, who may be linked to a stranger-sex assault.

Just after noon on Sunday, March 27, 2022, Prince George RCMP received a report of a sexual assault that occurred at a housing complex on the 2600 block of Recplace Drive earlier that morning. The victim was holding an Open House at the location and was showing the unit to the male suspect. The woman reports the man came up behind her and touched her back before groping her. When the woman yelled out the man left the area on foot.

The suspect is described as:

– Indigenous male

– Between 35-45 years old

-Approximately 5’10”

– Medium build

At the time of the incident he was wearing transitions glasses, a dark blue hoody, a baseball cap and light blue jeans with rips in the knees.

“Investigators reviewed video surveillance from several businesses in the area where the sex assault occurred and have identified this person of interest. We are looking for help in generating an identification for the man in the photo,” states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, media spokesperson for the Prince George RCMP.
