PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George RCMP say a person of interest in the sex assault investigation from March 27 has turned himself in to police.

This after RCMP released an image of the suspect to the media on Wednesday (April 20).

Just after noon on Sunday, March 27, Prince George RCMP received a report of a sexual assault that occurred at a housing complex on the 2600 block of Recplace Drive earlier that morning. The victim was holding an Open House at the location and was showing the unit to the male suspect. The woman reports the man came up behind her and touched her back before groping her. When the woman yelled out the man left the area on foot.

“We thank the media and public for their assistance in spreading the information on our person of interest. Investigators arrested the suspect this morning and he will remain in custody until he can attend court. The man is cooperating fully with our police investigation,” says Cpl. Jennifer Cooper.
