RCMP release new images related to 3rd Avenue fire

PRINCE GEORGE—Prince George RCMP has released an update to the investigation of the fire on the 1100 block of 3rd avenue.

A photo of a pickup truck that was seen in surveillance footage driving along 3rd Avenue at the time of the fire has been released. The truck is described as full-sized, two-tone and dark-colored.

Another photo taken from video surveillance previously aired by CKPG News, a suspect carrying a jerry can walking down the sidewalk on 3 Avenue in the minutes leading up to the fire.

“Officers from our Investigational Support Team reviewed the video surveillance provided and are now requesting the public’s help in locating the driver of a pickup truck seen driving along 3 Avenue at the time the fire breaks out. We are asking they come forward to speak with police about any suspicious activity they may have seen,” states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, media spokesperson for the Prince George RCMP.
