Accounting firms busy with Tax Season approaching

PRINCE GEORGE– It’s Tax Season once – the busiest time of year for accounting firms that provide tax, and advisory services like KPMG especially with the Easter Long Weekend a little later in the month.

Many people file their taxes differently. Whether that’s with the help of an advisor or doing it by themselves. However, if you are ever unsure about what you should do the best practice would be to see an advisor so they can help you maximize your returns.

When you do file you want to get the most out of it. According to the CRA, one of the many benefits that are going under the radar is the home office expenses which have gone up from last year.

The revenue service also wants to remind people about scam calls which seem to happen more frequently around Tax Season and have some things you’ll want to watch out for like the agent identifying themselves and if the CRA has tried to get ahold of you in the past.
