Suspicious death in Dawson Creek

DAWSON CREEK — A suspicious death investigation is underway in Dawson Creek.

Dawson Creek RCMP say they were called to an apartment at approximately 5:55 a.m. Tuesday (May 3) morning near the area of 8th Street and Watson Crescent for a report of a male in medical distress.

Police say the male was taken to hospital but did not survive.

“At this time, the incident appears to be isolated and police do not have a reason to believe there is a concern for public safety,” says S/Sgt. Damon Werrell.

He says police would like to speak with anyone that may have noticed suspicious activity near that location on May 3 between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m., or have video footage in the area, to call them at (250)784-3700.
