PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George Cougars, the Prince George Cougars Alumni Association, and the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation have announced TSN’s Lindsay Hamilton as a guest host for the 9th annual Prince George Cougars Alumni Hospital Charity Golf Tournament.

“We are thrilled for the full return of the Prince George Cougars Alumni Hospital Charity Golf Tournament with a few added surprises this year, including welcoming Lindsay, who will be hosting both the Friday night Player Auction and Saturday evening Event Auction,” said Aimee Cassie, CEO for Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation.

The two-day event is July 8-9, 2022, at the CN Centre and Prince George Golf & Curling Club.

Hamilton joined TSN in 2016 and is an anchor for SportsCentre and Weekday Morning Loop. The Mississauga, ON product has also hosted TSN’s Masters coverage and regional NHL broadcasts. She has covered both the IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship and Men’s World Championship for TSN and Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment. Hamilton was a member by CBC News Network team in 2016, as she reported on the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics.

Northland Dodge is the presenting sponsor of the tournament and they’re adding more excitement this year, as they are set to soon announce a contest that will make someone’s experience unforgettable.

The 9th annual Prince George Cougars Alumni Hospital Charity Golf Tournament is back after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Last year, an adapted event, the Prince George Cougars Alumni Million Dollar Hole-in-One Charity Golf Tournament, raised over $63,000 for healthcare in Northern B.C.

Once again, fundraising proceeds for this year’s tournament will focus on Cardiac Care. To date, over $650,000 has been raised for healthcare in Northern B.C. since the beginning of the tournament.

The tournament is close to selling out as spots are limited. To register your team, phone the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation office at 250-565-2372, or email aimee.cassie@northernhealth.ca
