Power outage affecting thousands in Prince George and area

UPDATE (3:30 p.m.): According to BC Hydro’s website, power has been restored to the area.

EARLIER: PRINCE GEORGE — More than 4,000 people in the Prince George area are out of power after two motor vehicle accidents Sunday (May 15).

The area north of Westcreek Road in Prince George is said to be affected, as well as a more rural area north-west of town: north of Wildwood Crescent, south of Fisher Road, and east of Foothills Boulevard.

BC Hydro said on their website that the outages have been affecting 4,411 customers since around 3:30 a.m.
