FORT ST.JAMES– It’s a place where back in the day wealth was measured in fur pelts and salmon. But now, it serves as a special tourist attraction in Fort St. James which attracts people from not only Northern BC but all over the world.

Chicken Races, Old-time diners, Markings on the wall where they would count beaver pelts, and Canada’s largest collection of wooden buildings faithfully restored to the fur trade are just some of the sights you can see at the National Historic Site.

And it will all be returning soon to those who visit the park as it will open this May Long Weekend. Many special events will be going on with hopes of a big turnout and the former fur trade post will be open every day from 9 to 5 until September 5th and hopes to spread joy to tourists around the world.
