Alcohol a possible factor in fatal crash in Williams Lake

WILLIAMS LAKE — One person is dead following a single-vehicle crash in Williams Lake Sunday night.
RCMP say they were called to the scene of the crash just before 7 p.m. near the Stampede Grounds in the city. When police arrived on scene, first responders were already on scene treating people.
“Police discovered that a vehicle, a 1967 Kaiser 4X4, was attempting to climb a steep hill when it stalled near the top, rolled back down the hill, flipped on its roof trapping one of the four occupants of the vehicle,” says North District RCMP Cpl. Madonna Saunderson.
“An adult woman, a passenger, died at the scene. The remaining people suffered non-life threatening injuries.”
