2022 Colour Walk breaks fundraising record

May 31, 2022 | 12:01 PM

PRINCE GEORGE—The fourth annual Colour Walk took place this past weekend and according to the Hospice Palliative Care Society (HPCS), it was a huge success.

Over $60,000 was raised by the event’s sponsors as well as the near 400 participants. As participants crossed the finish line they were covered by eight different coloured powers to celebrate the completion of the event.

The HPCS challenged everyone to walk 100 kilometers in the month of May. While many people completed that goal some went the extra mile. Jim Terrion completed over 1,000 kilometers during the month of fundraising.

This year marked the first time the event has been in person since 2019 due to the pandemic and event organizers are thrilled with how it turned out.
