PRINCE GEORGE – A new business is looking to open up in an already established area. The goal is to breathe some life in the downtown core. This new business is also open to anyone of any age group.

The new Entertainment club is called Ignite Nightclub and its new home will be located in the old Generator building.

“The community and essentially the downtown lacks an entertainment structure and I don’t think anybody would argue that point” explained Bernie Schneider, Operations Manager and liquor consultant for Ignite Night Club.

Ignite Nightclub, formally known as the Generator Isn’t sure when they will open but they have a proposal before Prince George City Council, to try and extend their liquor license hours.

Schneider, says he doesn’t want people to be afraid of the downtown, their goal, is to make sure everyone has a safe and enjoyable time.

“So, that’s our goal, is to get a name that isn’t synonymous with a gentlemen’s club. It’s synonymous with something that is part of the community”

There is a proposal before PG city council to extend their liquor license hours from 1 am to 3 am. If approved, the proposal will then be passed on to the province for approval.
