School bus driver charged following crash

BURNS LAKE — A school bus driver is facing two charges following a school bus crash late last month in Burns Lake.

As CKPG reported earlier this month, the crash occurred at the two kilometre mark of Colleymount road in Burns Lake on May 30th in which some of the passengers were injured.

The investigation, which included Transport Canada, BC Commercial Vehicle Safety and RCMP Collision Analysts, has been concluded and has resulted in one count each of driving without due care and failing to remain at the scene of a collision.

The name of the driver has not been released. The Burns Lake RCMP would like to thank members of the public who came forward and provided information.
