PRINCE GEORGE- It was the first time since 2019 that Cruisin’ Classics car club could host the show and shine car show.

Just like in years past, Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park was full of all generations checking out the local hot rods. The event’s return was highly anticipated by not only the Club but the people of Prince George.

“With COVID, we’ve missed two years of being in the park. So it’s just so great to be back in to interact with people and get the cars on display,” says George Windsor of Cruisin’ Classics. ” Our website and our Facebook page have just been buzzing with people inquiring and all the rest. So a lot of people were anticipating the show back in the park.”

This year marked the 46th show and shine event on fathers day weekend, an event for all ages.

“Seeing parents and their kids and grandparents with their kids and the grandkid and the great-grandkids. I mean, it’s awesome,” said Rick Fewster of Cruisin’ Classics.

With close to 400 cars registered for the event, show and shine is about a community coming together.

“We’re here to look at people’s loves, what they spend their money on,” said Fewster. ” It doesn’t matter what the car is or how good it looks. Everybody has their pride. If they bring a vehicle here, they’re bringing it because they have pride in what they’re driving.”

Windsor went on to tell CKPG that the event has averaged more than 10 thousand guests in the past, and he hopes that number will rise this year.
