Update: Missing teenager located

PRINCE GEORGE — Update: RCMP say that Joseph has been located and is safe and sound.

RCMP are thanking the public and the media for their assistance in this matter.

Earlier: Mounties in Prince George are seeking your help in locating a missing person.

Seventeen-year-old Heather Joseph has not been seen by her family since 8 a.m. on June 16 and hasn’t been heard from since. Her family is very concerned for her well-being.

Heather Joseph is described as:

  • Indigenous female
  • 165 cm (5’5)
  • 64 kg (141 lb)
  • Brown eyes
  • Short, brown hair
  • Last seen wearing a dark hoodie, black pants and black shoes.

RCMP say Heather was last seen near Freeman Street and 5 th Avenue. Police officers and family made extensive patrols in the area throughout the night but have not located Heather. She does not have a cell phone with her.

Her family says she likes to go to downtown Prince George, and sometimes hangs around the Civic Centre. Police are requesting help from the public in keeping an eye out for Heather and asking them call the non-emergency line at 250-561-3300 if anyone sees her.
