Flood warning issued for Quesnel River
QUESNEL — A flood warning has been issued for the Quesnel River.
The warning was upgraded from a flood watch this morning by the BC River Forecast Centre.
The city of Quesnel says the areas at risk of flooding do not include any residential properties at this time. In response, the city is enlisting Tiger Dam specialists to train city and Emergency Management BC staff in setting up the Tiger dams along the Quesnel River.
Flood concerns aren’t limited to Quesnel as the BC River Forecast Centre has also issued a high streamflow advisory for the Nechako River.
