Over 80 employees will be let go from the Bonanza Ledge II Mine

PRINCE GEORGE – More details have emerged regarding the 85 workers who received layoff notices at the Bonanza Ledge Mine near the Wells community.
According to the company news release, the escalating operating and capital costs have forced the gold mine into temporary care and maintenance.
During this time, the company plans to work on economic studies, approvals and permitting for the mine.
Many people let will receive severance packages and career transition support. Around 57 employees will remain to work at the mine to continue to work on permitting and approvals
