PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George Spruce Kings have fallen victim to the numbers game, an unfortunate reality in junior hockey says General Manager Mike Hawes.

With the situation of the overage spots after a number of recent acquisitions, the Spruce Kings have gone ahead and traded Nathan Fox to the Drumheller Dragons of the Alberta Junior Hockey League. In exchange, the Spruce Kings receive Future Considerations.

The Okotoks product spent time playing two games during the 2019-20 season with the Dragons.

Fox was acquired by the Spruce Kings in a trade with the Cranbrook Bucks in October, early into the 2021-22 season. Fox played 33 games for the Spruce Kings, scoring three goals and adding three assists. He also registered an assist in 10 playoff games.
