PRINCE GEORGE – It’s incredible what you can accomplish with just a little bit more time.

Last year, the Prince George Soccer Association had just four weeks to get its season underway after Provincial Health Officer Dr Bonnie Henry loosened restrictions on adult recreation. But this year, they had eight months, and it’s no surprise they’ve seen growth across the league as a result.

The PGSA has seen its registration numbers rise by approximately 40 new athletes and the demand has resulted in registration being closed. Last year, there were roughly 550 players registered with the league. Nowadays, the majority of the teams in the league are full, but with summer vacations just around the corner, the league is likely to re-open registration in mid-July as a way to ensure teams will continue to play throughout the summer while others are on vacation.
