Man arrested after pointing firearm at another person

PRINCE GEORGE — A 25-year-old Prince George man is facing a raft of charges after police allege he pointed a firearm at another person.

RCMP say Michael Campbell-Alexander was arrested Saturday night following an argument he had with another man on the 1900 block of Central Street East just before 10 p.m..

Campbell-Alexander was arrested shortly afterwards. At the time of his arrest, police say he was bound by a court order not to be in possession of a firearm.

The B.C. Prosecution Service has approved the following charges:

  • Pointing a firearm
  • Possession of a loaded prohibited/restricted firearm
  • Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited/restricted firearm
  • Possession of a weapon for the purpose of committing an offence
  • Possession of a firearm/ammunition contrary to order
  • Possession of a firearm knowing the serial number is tampered with
  • Possession of a firearm/ammunition contrary to order
  • Transport of a firearm contrary to regulations
  • Possession of ammunition for the purpose of committing an offence

RCMP say Campbell-Alexander is known to police for similar offences and will remain in police custody until his next court date.
