PRINCE GEORGE- Despite the rain, hundreds were at Studio 2880 Thursday night for the first ever Night Market.

The property was packed with shoppers at an event with local vendors, music and food.

“We have the artisan night market tonight, and it’s awesome,” said Christina Watts, gallery coordinator at Studio 2880. “There’s food, and there are all kinds of artisans. I’ve seen some amazing things, and they’re set up here tonight.”

Local vendors were set up throughout the property of Studio 2880, showing off their handmade products, with the majority coming from right here in Prince George.

“We have people that are leather workers. We’ve got jewelry people, artists, and some digital artists. There are demographers, bath and body product makers,” said Watts.

“Everybody has such a different scope on how to make something or create something. It’s so imaginative,” said Teresa White of Crafty Redhead.

The Studio has a second night market planned for August 16. For small businesses in town, it provides a chance to showcase their passion for the arts.

“You get to be friends with all the vendors and see your regular customers. It’s it is magical. It sounds cheesy, but it warms my heart to see everyone in the community supporting each other,” said White.

Other Vendors told CKPG news how exciting it was for everyone to finally be able to bring the PG arts community together again with these types of events.
