Ziemmer announced as late invite to Canadian Junior Summer Selection Camp

PRINCE GEORGE – There will be one additional member of the Prince George Cougars vying for a spot on Team Canada’s World Junior Team this summer.

The team announced that forward Koehn Ziemmer (04) has been invited to the World Junior Summer Selection Camp which takes place July 23-27 in Calgary, AB. Ziemmer will join teammates Ethan Samson and Tyler Brennan who were invited to the camp back in June.

Following the cancellation of the original tournament back in the end of December, the International Ice Hockey Federation opted to hold the tournament during the summer, running from Aug. 9-20.

“It is an honour to be invited to anything related with Hockey Canada, and Kohen is very well deserving of this,” said Cougars Head Coach Mark Lamb.
