Cougars’ Heidt selected to Canada’s National Men’s Summer U18 Team

PRINCE GEORGE – A member of the Prince George Cougars will look to bring Team Canada to a new ‘Heidt’ this summer.
Riley Heidt has been selected as one of the 23 players to wear the Red and White in Red Deer for the Hlinka-Gretzky Cup. the tournament will get underway July 31st and go until Aug. 6.
Heidt just finished an impressive 16-year-old rookie season, as he led the Cougars in scoring with 58 points (21 goals, 37 assists) in 65 games. Heidt finished three points shy of tying Brett Connolly’s 16-year-old Cougars’ rookie scoring record set in 2008-09. Heidt was 11th in WHL Rookie scoring.
