Campfire bans issued in southern half of BC

PRINCE GEORGE – If you have plans to drive to the southern half of the province and camp. Keep in mind the southern half of BC is under a campfire ban.

Tomorrow, campfires will be banned through the Southeast and Coastal fire centres. The fire danger rating for the southern half of the province is high to extreme.

Fire bans are in place because of fire hazards, the type of weather conditions forecasted, and fire activity occurring.
