You may have heard of Telus Health. An organization offering free virtual health care to patients all across the country. However, have you ever heard of The Telus Health LifePlus program? A private, fee-based program that essentially offers better care to those who pay a fee. Something the BC Green party finds unacceptable.

Sonia Furstenau, leader of the party has called for Health Minister Adrian Dix to release a report by the B.C. Medical Services Commission on Telus Health’s healthcare programs. The report which Dix has had in his possession since June 30th accuses the corporation of charging patients for basic healthcare needs, allowing queue-jumping, and contributing to a two-tier healthcare system.
