Large amounts of meth and fentanyl seized by RCMP
PRINCE GEORGE—Police seized large quantities of methamphetamine and fentanyl during an investigation over the weekend.
RCMP were attending a residence on the 7600 block of Gladstone Drive just after 6:00 a.m. Saturday, August 6, for an unrelated matter. During the course of the investigation, officers found drug paraphernalia that prompted a further search. Officers also seized small amounts of suspected cocaine and psilocybin as well as a modified pellet gun.
Several people were arrested at the time of the investigation and have since been released pending further investigation. Police are familiar with the individuals in the residence.
“There is no doubt that this seizure represents a significant disruption to the drug trafficking activity in Prince George,” states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.
