Cougars sign Czechian forward

PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George Cougars have signed one of their draft picks from this year’s Canadian Hockey League Import Draft.

Cougars’ General Manager and Head Coach Mark Lamb announced forward Ondrej Becher has signed a WHL Standard Player Agreement. The 18-year-old Czechian was selected 16th overall in the CHL Import Draft and spent the 2021-22 season with the AZ Havirov U20 program in Czechia.

The six-foot winger had a productive season, amassing 36 points in 45 games (22G-14A). Becher also has some experience at the international level, suiting up in six games for Team Czechia U18, collecting two points in six games.
