RCMP respond to home invasion and shooting on Kellogg Avenue

PRINCE GEORGE — Update: Mounties have released more information regarding this morning’s police incident.

RCMP say that a 35-year-old man was shot during the altercation in the home and was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police subsequently arrested a 38-year-old man in connection with the shooting.

Police say the pair are known to each other and believe this was an isolated incident. The suspect will remain in custody until he can attend court today.

Earlier: Prince George RCMP remain on the scene of a home invasion early this morning in the Spruceland neighbourhood.

Police say the home invasion occurred just before 2 a.m. at a home on the 1300 block of Kellogg Avenue.

RCMP say there was also a shooting at the home though there have been no reports of any injuries. At least a half a dozen RCMP vehicles arrived on scene.

A witness could here a loud commotion on the street around the time of the crime.

No further details have been released.
