SD57 hosting trustee information sessions

PRINCE GEORGE — Some helpful information if you’re thinking of running for school board this fall.

School District 57 will be hosting trustee candidate information sessions starting next Tuesday, August 30, at 7 p.m. at the district’s board office on Ferry Avenue.

Additional sessions will be held at Mackenzie Secondary August 31 at 6 p.m., another at the SD57 board office the evening of September 6 at 7 p.m. and another at McBride Secondary at 6 p.m. on September 7.

Nomination documents are available online at SD57 elections or in person until the close of the nomination period.

Nominations will be received by the Chief Election Officer or Deputy Chief Election Officer by hand by appointment only from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday August 30 to 4:00 p.m. Friday September 9. Call 250-561-6800 to schedule an appointment.

Nominations will be received by mail or other delivery service at 2100 Ferry Avenue, Prince George, BC, V2L 4R5. Nominations will be received by fax at 250-561-6820 or by email at election@sd57.bc.ca. Originals of faxed or emailed documents must be received by the Chief Election Officer by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, September 16..
