Foul play not involved after human remains found south of Vanderhoof
VANDERHOOF — Mounties say the human remains discovered earlier this week south of Vanderhoof were that of a man.
The remains were discovered Monday afternoon on Kenney Dam Road on the Saik’uz First Nation.
RCMP do not believe foul play was involved. Investigators are still trying to determine how the man died.
“While we are still in the preliminary stages of this investigation, and are trying to determine how this man died, the RCMP does not believe that criminality was involved in his death,” said Staff Sergeant Kevin Day, Vanderhoof RCMP Detachment commander. “We continue to work closely with the BC Coroners Service to identify the individual.”
