Aug 25, 2022 | 7:35 AM

PRINCE GEORGE – A suspicious caravan that was reported stolen in Prince George was found parked on a Kamloops’ North Shore neighbourhood Wednesday (Aug. 24) morning, which led to police recovering stolen bicycles and a vehicle.

In a news release issued Wednesday evening, Kamloops RCMP say checks on the caravan’s license plate showed it belonged to a different vehicle.

Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says the person who reported the caravan did so after seeing a social media post about a stolen motorbike, believing the van to be related.

Officers attended a home and seized seven bicycles, five or which have been identified as stolen through serial numbers and other descriptors.

RCMP say the suspicious van was reported stolen in Prince George. A man was initially arrested but released on scene, pending the end of the investigation. Evelyn adds that weapons were seized following the man’s arrest.

Anyone with information or video that may be related to the investigation is asked to contact Kamloops RCMP.
