Local lawyer running for mayor
PRINCE GEORGE — Local lawyer and former SD57 Board member and Chair Roy Stewart announced this morning his intention to run for mayor of Prince George.
Stewart is running on what he calls five pressing matters. They include finding solutions to issues caused by homelessness, Changing the attitude of the city to investments and development, magnifying accountability of elected officials, Controlling public spending and changing the image of Prince George.
Stewart was previously solicitor for the city of Prince George for two decades ending in 2001.
Steward is the third person to enter the mayoral race following announcements from Todd Corrigall, CEO of the PG Chamber of Commerce, and Christopher Wood a local businessman.
