LEGACY NIGHT

UNBC’s 8th Annual Legacy Night to feature Humboldt Broncos crash survivor Kaleb Dahlgren

PRINCE GEORGE– UNBC’s annual Legacy Event, will look a little different this year. It will return to an in-person event and there will still be a very special guest but this time the event will be a little later than usual. For the first time, the UNBC Timberwolves will be hosting a dinner rather than breakfast, complete with craft beers, wine, appetizers, and entertainment.

A different time of day but still the same inspiring event which has become a tradition here in Prince George. Their 8th annual Legacy Night on November 10th

In the past, the university has had Keynote speakers for the event. Last year Tampa Bay Lightning Head Coach Jon Cooper had the honors after winning the Stanley Cup in 2020. This year it’s Kaleb Dahlgren, who is a #1 bestselling author and was involved in the tragic Humboldt Broncos bus Crash back in 2018.

Director of Athletics and Recreation, Loralyn Murdoch, heard Kaleb speaking at a U-Sports event in June and approached him asking if he would be willing to attend Legacy Night. Kaleb was more than willing to come to the event and speak and is extremely excited to come to Prince George and meet the community.

The former Bronco hopes to make an impact with his speech on how he has faced challenges in his life and hopes to inspire others to find positives in a tough situation rather than making the worst of it.

Tickets are now available HERE with all the funds raised going directly towards scholarships and bursaries for TWolves athletes.
