PRINCE GEORGE — Long-time incumbent City Councillor Garth Frizzell has announced he’s running for re-election.

Frizzell was first elected in 2008 and is also an instructor at the College of New Caledonia.

He currently chairs the City’s Finance and Audit Committee, and is now Past President of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities.

So, why’s he running for another term?

“We’ve got big problems that we’re facing like a lot of Canadian cities. Between not having enough housing, having mental health and addictions crisis, a climate crisis, all of these are problems that are not just facing us, but all other levels of government,” he says. “So I want to take the experience I’ve got and help with the big problems we face.”

Election day is October 15.
