Stolen car suspect arrested on the Hart

PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George Mounties arrested a person suspected of stealing a car Tuesday night.

The search began when police were tipped off about the appearance of a stolen vehicle from the Chetwynd area near Austin Road and Highway 97.

The man was arrested shortly after on the 3700 block of Winslow Drive with the help of several resources, including police dog services and an RCMP helicopter.

Thirty-seven-year-old Blaine Douglass of Sorrento was charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

He’s been released from custody pending his next court appearance.
