PRINCE GEORGE – The Coliseum. The Castle. Rolling Mix Concrete Arena and now, a new name. Kopar Memorial Arena.

“We’re looking forward to playing at the Kopar Memorial Arena for the next four years,” says Kyle Anderson, Manager of Business Operations for the Spruce Kings. “We want to say thank you to Tom Newell with Kopar Administration.”

Kopar has signed an agreement to pay $15,000 per year for the next four years to have the naming rights for the facility. But there’s more to the agreement than that.

“And then there’s a parallel deal inside the Spruce Kings that involves some very good sponsorship for them,” explains Andy Beesley, the Director of Recreation and Events for the City. “Which is really going to help them with their Home Show.”

With Council’s approval of the deal, the name change takes place immediately.
