Cougars finish opening weekend 1-1 against Americans
PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Cougars walked away from their opening weekend with a win and a loss against the Tri-City Americans.
Friday (Sept. 23), the Cats opened the scoring two minutes in with a goal by Ephram McNutt.
In the second period, Carter MacAdams scored twice in about 20 seconds. Ondrej Becher scored to make it 4-0 at around 12 minutes.
The Americans got a goal in the third period, but the Cats sealed their fate with one more goal six minutes later, making the final score 5-1 for Prince George.
