Fort St. John RCMP recover guns and various substances in drug bust
FORT ST. JOHN — Fort St. John RCMP executed a search warrant on an apartment on 86th Street on Sept. 8, uncovering drugs, weapons and cash.
About 160 grams of cocaine, other “suspected controlled substances”, a loaded handgun and bolt action rifle, ammunition and nearly $8500 were seized by RCMP, according to a news release on Thursday (Sept. 22).
RCMP arrested three people in connection to the investigation. The suspects are facing several drug and firearm offences.
“The proactive work by our plainclothes units like this contributes to a greater overall public safety for our entire community,” said Staff Sgt. Scott Watson of the Fort St. John RCMP.
