Redwood Street fire causes $50K in damages

PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire on the 2200 block of Redwood Street this morning.

Assistant Chief Fred Wilkinson says upon arrival, crews found heavy smoke coming from the front door of the home.

“Crews initiated a quick attack of the fire and kept it confined to the room of origin. There were no injuries with damages estimated at $50,000.”

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
