Nour Salim wants to bring world experience to Council
PRINCE GEORGE – Nour Salim is one of twenty who has thrown his hat into the ring for Councillor. He says Prince George has plenty of opportunity and he wants to be part of that future. He believes his world travels and work experience can bring different ideas to the table.
“I believe I have a unique perspective to the table,” he says. “Most of the Councillors, candidates and Mayors and staff that have served Prince George previously have grown up and lived in Prince George. It’s very rare that you get an outside perspective.”
He says, if elected, he will work to make the city a place where people would come to get an education and call the city home.
“I believe it more as a vision. Where people can grow up here and be trained in what our industries need here. Where our world-class teaching institutions, whether it’s post-secondary or for skilled labour can actually give the industries what they need.”
