SD57 students step up to honour Truth and Reconciliation
PRINCE GEORGE – In advance of the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation set for September 30th, students across School District 57 stepped up to hold various events.
At DP Todd Secondary, leadership students stepped up to put on an activity for students to sign their own commitments to reconciliation on the school’s bulletin boards. In exchange students got a free piece of bannock made by Indigenous Education Workers.
For senior students at the school, the culture and attitude towards events similar has significantly changed in just the past few years.
