Cougars top Rockets 6-3 as Samson named 28th team captain
PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Cougars are off and skating in the 2022-23 WHL regular season with another win Friday (September 30).
A balanced effort by the Cougars led to the win over the Kelowna Rockets as defenceman Ethan Samson was named the 28th captain in franchise history.
Samson scored the Cougars’ first goal of the game in Friday’s 6-3 win marking his first of the year. Other scoring contributors included Hudson Thornton who scored twice, Fischer O’Brien, Noah Boyko and Riley Heidt.
