Makow helps Spruce Kings to quick start and victory over Merritt

PRINCE GEORGE – Linden Makow had two goals and one assist to lead the Spruce Kings to a 6 – 4 victory over the Merritt Centennials Saturday (Oct. 8) night at the Kopar Memorial Arena in Prince George.

The Kings took control of the game early, jumping out to a 3 – nothing lead thanks in part to Makow’s powerplay goal at the 12:06 mark of the first period

Luca Primerano, Jake Schneider, and Charlie Banquier each had a goal and an assist. Evan Fedele also scored for Prince George.

Hayden Dunford stopped 23 of 28 shots in the Kings net as Prince George improved to 5 – 1 on the young season.

Jackson Krill and Jaxson Murray each scored twice for the Centennials in the loss.
