PRINCE GEORGE — Northern Health is warning the public of an increase in overdose deaths due to a combination of very powerful drugs in Prince George.

The substance in question is being sold in purple chunks and has high amounts of fentanyl and was also found to have tested positive for benzodiazepines.

Northern Health says that they have reports of heavy sedation and an increase in overdoses when the toxic combination of drugs is taken.
