Crews respond to early morning Saturday fire

PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George Fire Rescue crews from four halls responded to a structure fire in the 1400 block of Irwin St. on Saturday (October 15).
Around 5:00 a.m., crews found heavy black smoke and flames coming from a center unit of a multi-unit residential building.
In a news release, a coordinated attack on the blaze prevented the fire from spreading further. Fire crews were on scene for several hours checking for extension.
No injuries were reported and the damage is estimated at $600,000.
