Moutray excited to get to work in Vanderhoof

VANDERHOOF — On Saturday night, Vanderhoof elected a new mayor. Kevin Moutray won the mayor’s chair with nearly 50% of the vote.

As a previous member of town council, Moutray says he has the knowledge to perform the job of mayor well.

With three other incumbents re-elected to council that Moutray worked with, he says that having councillors that he worked with, will provide a huge advantage as he steps into this new role.

Moutray wants to focus on housing, creating job growth and infrastructure during his term as mayor, and is looking forward to working with council in the four years ahead.
